In a very"yang" world, a calm and cool "yin" practice is the necessary counter partto balance the active and passive elements of our bodies and minds. You will hold seated poses for several minutes to activate the muscle tissue, followed by release of the pose to allow the tissue to rest. Yin poses target the fascia (connective tissue surrounding our muscles, organs, joints and bones) to release muscle tension, energetic blockages and increase proper organ function. Yin yoga increase mobility, mental focus and the ability to breathe through physical discomfort. Yin is a complimentary addition to one's more active vinyasa practice or athletic training.

Not recommended for those who are sensitive to scent. This class is appropriate for all levels of fitness.
