Daughters of Shakti: A Women's Gathering

This is a calling to all women as an invitation to strengthen our ties to the feminine divine within us all. This women’s group gathers to bond through ritual building of a monthly altar, open sharing and discussion and activities that express that which makes women unique. We take refuge in a place of understanding, connection and that extraordinary bond that all ladies share though the experience of womanhood. Daughters of Shakti is originated in the spirit of moon lodges, of women gathering together to share, bond and uplift each other around the time of the new moon.

Shakti: A Universal Force of Creation
In the Hindu culture, Shakti, is the ultimate mother of all feminine forces. She represents the power of manifestation, balance and energy. We call on the mother of all Goddesses to reenact that divine nature of being within ourselves. This monthly women’s group acts as a catalyst to nurture, encourage and inspire each other. The women’s spirit, mind and body are celebrated and engaged during this time of magical gathering. A ritual gathering that has been found in all societies throughout time. Come join your sisters in life to celebrate and create intention around ritual.

Invitation to bring an item that calls to you as a symbol of feminine power, to be used as an offering to Shakti’s Alter.

Be blessed and be well, my sisters.

About the leader:

Summer Adams came to the wondrous practice of Vinyasa Yoga in 2008, at the age of 13. She felt the healing and uplifting benefits that Yoga had to offer and wanted to learn to share that with others as well. Falling in love with the clarity, energy and feelings of freedom that came when practicing Yoga, she became a certified RTY-200 Yoga teacher in 2014, in Hood River, OR.

Having been trained in alignment- based Hatha and Kriya yoga, she creates classes that bring a flow of harmony to breath, body and mind. She strives to bring awareness, challenge and balance to classes and hopes that students receive the self-love, healing and enlightenment that is brought to them by this yogic path.

Currently, she embarks on a path of women’s empowerment and support, as she studies to become a birth doula and has created a moon lodge named; Daughters of Shakti. Summer has served communities through yoga in Washington and California.
