Did you know that 21 minutes of meditation a day helps manage anxiety, depression and pain? Meditation is an effective technique of stress reduction and conscious relaxation. Meditation also helps brings peace, understanding and compassion into your life. Meditation is the key to connecting to your True Self.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- Simple breathing & focus techniques
- A deeper understanding of the science behind meditation
- Various sitting positions, as well as, meditation techniques
- Introduction to using mantras and mudras
- Creating a sacred, peaceful and effective meditation space
At the end of this workshop, you will be ready to join our circle of practitioners on Thursday evenings for our mediation sessions and/or to being a regular home meditation practice.
Appropriate for all levels. No yoga experience necessary. Minimum of 6 participants required. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a journal.
